Hello,
I would like to control all the roller shutters in my new build either via a touch display or Alexa.
The roller shutters have elero motors.
The window manufacturer suggested Loxone, but for 17 roller shutters, the cost comes to €4000.
Can anyone recommend more affordable alternatives?

If you choose the Wi-Fi version, make sure to install deep wall boxes.
Cost per Shelly is about 20€ (plus one Shelly i3 if needed at all, for example as a touch alternative).
If you are buying in larger quantities, you can order directly from the manufacturer in Bulgaria, which should make it a bit cheaper.
One Raspberry Pi 4 and an SD card cost around 120€.
The iobroker software is free. However, you should have some technical interest and be willing to read and learn from various forums.
For a tablet, I use a Lenovo, about 0.5 years old, with a custom-designed and 3D-printed holder for the tablet. Naturally, there should also be a power outlet nearby. Is a Raspberry Pi 4 really necessary? Or could everything run just on the tablet?

Or could everything also run through the tablet? Of course, everything can also be controlled via the Shelly app or Shelly mycloud, which as a website looks and works exactly like the app.

What is your opinion on Somfy motorized controls with the Tahoma Box?The window manufacturer wants an extra 200€ per roller shutter for the motor.
And there would be almost 20 roller shutters.

And there are almost 20 roller shutters. Is that an additional charge for switching to "electric roller shutters," or an extra fee for Loxone on top of the usual electric shutters?
I can recommend the simplest and, in my opinion, most flexible solution:
Standard electric roller shutters with switches, deep wall boxes, and a separate retrofit, for example, with Bosch smart roller shutter controls (flush-mounted). Each switch can be upgraded in a few minutes, costing around €50 per control. In your case, that would be under €1000. You'll have full flexibility with Alexa, HomeKit, and so on, allowing voice control or creating any automated actions you want. Optionally, you can also control them centrally via any tablet mounted on the wall or something similar.
In my view, there are no disadvantages—quite the opposite—and it’s also convenient to have simple switches/buttons close to each window. The "centralized" option would then be voice control or a tablet on the wall ... or even an additional Bosch universal button that can be used for this purpose.
Personally, I couldn’t get on with Shelly devices and chose Bosch despite their 2.5 times higher price—and I haven’t regretted it.

I can recommend the simplest and, in my opinion, most flexible solution:
Standard electric shutters with switches, deep mounting boxes, and independent retrofit options, for example with Bosch smart shutter controls (flush-mounted). This takes just a few minutes per switch to install, costing about 50 EUR (around 55 USD) per controller. In your case, that would be under 1000 EUR (about 1100 USD). You’ll have complete flexibility with Alexa, HomeKit, etc., allowing voice control or creating any automated actions you want. Optionally, you can also control it centrally with any tablet mounted on the wall or other devices.
From my perspective, there are no disadvantages—in fact, only advantages—plus it’s nice to have simple switches or push-buttons near each window. The "centralized" control then comes through voice commands or a wall-mounted tablet ... or even an additional Bosch universal push-button that could be used for this purpose.
Personally, I couldn’t make use of Shelly devices and chose Bosch despite it being 2.5 times more expensive—and I haven’t regretted it. I have Elero shutter motors.
The surcharge for Loxone was 150 EUR (about 165 USD) per shutter.
Switching from Elero to Somfy radio motors costs 214 EUR (about 235 USD) per shutter.
