Hello House Building Forum users,

Who among you has experience with windows from Poland or Bosnia?

I look forward to your helpful feedback.

Update 2021. All doors and windows made of plastic are still in perfect condition. They are airtight and operate smoothly.

We would like to do the same. Polish windows in new builds. However, this is often not possible when working with a general contractor. They have:
a) their own suppliers
b) they can guarantee KfW 55 standard with their "own" windows. With other windows, the risk transfers to the homeowner.

We are also considering installing windows from Poland. Since we both come from Poland and regularly visit our family there, it will probably be somewhat easier than for a German who has little contact with the local companies.

One major issue is the installation. The companies in Poland are so busy that they are reluctant to come to Germany to install the windows here. The simplest solution would be to order through a German representative.
I have already been in contact with several Polish profile/window manufacturers. All of them can manufacture and deliver, but only one company was willing to handle the installation.

For those interested in aluminum windows, I recommend Aluprof or Yawal. The frameless systems like Skyline or MoreView are excellent. In terms of price, they are definitely in the top tier but still much cheaper than the equivalents from Schüco. The quality of workmanship is top-notch.
@11ant – you’re a window expert. Are you familiar with the latest ranges from Aluprof and Yawal?

I would even say, the key issue.

No, I’m not familiar with either so far. I have not been a window manufacturer for seven years (back then we had a proprietary profile system), and for the past two years I haven’t been a window dealer either (and even then I didn’t carry all manufacturers). But as a building consultant, I often get asked about windows, so thank you for pointing out these two brands. I will definitely take a closer look at them. Have you personally installed any of their products or at least seen and ordered them in person?

Yes, I have seen both of them. For a layperson, the systems definitely make a great impression. As I said – for a layperson. We are considering using one of the two systems for the living room. An inquiry has been sent. I’m curious when (or if at all) an offer will come…
I’ll report back when I know more.

What do you mean by that limitation? Where don’t you trust it?

Why only there?

Our suppliers typically do not offer directly to end customers.
