Hello House Building Forum users,

Who among you has experience with windows from Poland or Bosnia?

I look forward to your helpful feedback.

I would even say, THE critical point.

yes, indeed

but especially with wide windows – about 1m (40 inches) – the difference becomes clear.
Here, the internal structure (static load-bearing capacity!) becomes important. The panes become part of the structural stability so that the window sashes do not distort like parallelograms and no longer close securely. The internal tolerances are very crucial in this case.

We ordered windows from Poland (Schüco profile), and they were installed by their fitters. I have no complaints. There is also a lift-and-slide door included.

Our building meets the KfW55 standard, and all paperwork was in order. Reed contacts as well as RC3 window security.

The money we saved was invested in our aluminum door with a side panel and fingerprint scanner. The door cost us just under 2200€ (approximately 2200 euros). It also came from the same company in Poland.

Our favorite wooden entrance doors are these (see attachment). In Poland, they cost about 5,000€ (approx. $5,500) without the fingerprint sensor (which we consider a gimmick).

Modern wooden door with vertical glass panel in showroom, opened.

I would also like to know which company that is. Is there any reason not to mention it here?
