ᐅ Concrete slab for garden shed directly on the property line or is it better to leave some distance?

Hello everyone,

I am currently a bit unsure about the foundation slab for our garden shed. Would you place it directly on the property boundary (as shown in the plan), or would you keep some distance from both boundaries to allow for things like a rain gutter on the shed? Would 30cm (12 inches) on each side be enough?

You don’t need 30cm (12 inches) for the gutter.

Hmm, not that, but the question is how long I would need to stay away or what a reasonable compromise is. The walls of the garden box won’t be flush with the base slab, as the cladding will also extend a bit beyond it, right?

Concrete slab = fixed installation = building permit / planning permission? = 3 meters (10 feet) boundary distance.

Your "garden box" will probably be a shed or garden house. You will likely want to take advantage of the privilege of building on the boundary line, which you apparently have not yet used with a garage.

However, you must either build directly on the boundary or maintain a proper distance. Rain gutters and roof overhangs should still remain on your own property.
