Hello everyone,
we have two round columns in the living and dining area with a diameter of 16.5cm (6.5 inches) that I would like to cover smoothly and paint white. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to do this? Or maybe some pictures showing how the base was finished on the floor with tiles, like in the example below?

Should the columns be rather inconspicuous and not stand out? Otherwise, I would emphasize them with mosaic and highlight them clearly as a design element. Just an idea from me. If I have to see two columns in the house every day, then I’d want them to be prominent and have a striking design. There are countless possibilities for that. Otherwise, just have them nicely painted, as I already mentioned.

- Fabric cover – closure with Velcro or zipper; you can change the colors seasonally
- Climbing plant – however, the column will become a bit wider
- Painting
- Plastering
- Applying adhesive – the Tarrocchi Park by Niki de Saint-Phalle is also worth a look for inspiration
- Children in the house? – build a ball run from top to bottom
