Hello,
we are planning to build a single-family house with a basement and a double garage this year.
The garage will be half a meter longer. Therefore, the cloakroom will also be 0.5m (1.6 feet) longer than shown here.
What do you think of the design?

You can get all of that, but it won’t fit in the small space.

Just make the pantry a bit deeper. The kitchen door still has enough clearance. I don’t see the problem at all:

The entrance hall has a clear interior height of 2.21m (7 feet 3 inches). I imagine that would feel quite cramped, especially given the small area. Hopefully, this ceiling height applies only to the entrance hall?

If the kitchen feels too small, I would rather consider a bay window extension (see sketch):

Widening the pantry is an option. In your opinion, how wide should the pantry be at minimum?

Good point. The clear ceiling height of 2.21m (7 ft 3 in) is only in the entrance area. I still need to follow up to see if the whole garage can be built higher. That might be difficult, since I’m building right up to the property boundary and the garage height limit is only 3m (9 ft 10 in). The architect will need to look into this again.
