Hello,

are there manufacturers that have real wood panels on aluminum exterior doors (and preferably also on the interior side)? I’m not referring to wood-look finishes, but actual wood panels.

So far, I have only found Kneer Südfenster, but their distribution is somewhat complicated.

Thank you
Bart

Hi, a quick question.

Who offers wood-aluminum windows with slim frames in Germany? Like the ones used in Denmark?

The variety of German window types is similar to that of apples and potatoes in a supermarket: basically, you get Schüco, Kömmerling, or competitor products following almost the same basic design.

I used to work for a window manufacturer and don’t see any truly significant advantage in profiles that are just a finger’s width narrower. Outward-opening windows (and doors) are uncommon here, whereas manufacturers in other countries have more experience with them. Tilt-and-turn windows have also fallen out of favor here.

I spoke with Scanlux.
They exclusively distribute Rationel windows in Germany. There is a 10-year warranty and very slim profiles.
The windows perform much better than German ones despite the slim profiles (even passive houses can use them). The Germans just can’t manage it. It was very interesting.
Wood-aluminum, triple-glazed.
