With WPC, it is often mentioned that it heats up significantly. But isn’t this equally true for terrace slabs / terrace tiles / natural stone, and even to a greater extent?

I think this is more about comparing it with wood.

I think this depends more on the color of the material than the material itself. For example: brown teak gets very, very hot in the sun. Anthracite stone slabs also do. Light wood or light stone much less so. I guess it’s the same with WPC. Karsten

Ok, but how does it compare to natural stone/tile/etc.?

Just google "wpc decking heating coating sprengler stader." On their page, you will find 8 different materials listed.

That also depends a lot on the surface. A very smooth (possibly even dark) porcelain stoneware surface will get hotter than a rough concrete slab. Our granite window sills get hotter than the paving surface in the driveway.
A smooth plastic surface gets very, very hot in the sun. Just visit a large building materials store—they often have WPC displayed outside—then walk barefoot on it.

Best regards
