ᐅ Core drilling inside the house – does it create a lot of dust indoors?

Hello, we still need to carry out a core drilling through a 36cm (14 inches) wall made of KLB blocks. The diameter is 150mm (6 inches). However, the interior walls have already been painted. My question is: does the drilling create a lot of dust?

Best regards, Steffi.

The hole looks so clean, it almost seems like a prefabricated house?

I don’t know which manufacturer our window installer used. But decorative profiles and trim pieces like these are produced, for example, by Robering or Brinkmeier Kunststoff. Best regards, Steffi33.

No, no... that's a KLB block. You can cut through it like butter. My husband supported the outer wall with a board to prevent any plaster from breaking off.

Isn’t the manufacturer mentioned somewhere? – Do you know if these profiles come from the window manufacturer or were they purchased separately?

Oh, someone in Saxony is building with climate lightweight blocks? – I live where those come from, in northern Rhineland-Palatinate, about a four-hour drive from Saxony.

The window installer definitely bought them separately and glued them on in his workshop. For a short time, we even considered doing it ourselves later. But then we decided to do it “right away.”

Our current house (built in 2000) also has KLB blocks. Since we are very happy with them, we chose them again. By the way, our KLB blocks come from Eisenhüttenstadt. Regards, Steffi.

Oh, those are nice windows. The "ornament" (which is supposed to look like turned wood) is well done. What profile and manufacturer are they?

I really like the windows as well.
