Good morning dear forum members,
I wish you all a Happy New Year, lots of success, and good health.

I have a quick question. My grandma has a white plaster facade that got dirty after 10 years, so about 3 years ago she decided to have it repainted by a professional company.

This company "supposedly" disinfected it with Caparol Capatox, then primed it with Caparol Thermosan Primer, and finally applied two coats of Caparol Thermosan facade paint.

However, in the first year, several areas of the facade turned very green, and after 3 years it looks really bad. This company also worked on other houses on the same street, which are also heavily green. Other houses that have not been repainted recently appear more "gray" than the others but are not green.

Is this a "mistake" in the process? It’s understandable that the facade will eventually turn gray again and algae will accumulate over time, but already in the first year? The house is located at the Baltic Sea, about 1.5 meters (0.9 miles) from the beach.

I look forward to your answers.

Best regards,
Fireli

Well then, I’ll just send you the pictures by email, so you have them on your account. Are you really a software developer?

Well, I’m smart enough for that—I’m a software developer, so why? By “phone,” I mean that I haven’t uploaded anything online, and here in the forum, you can only upload images with an internet URL, right? That means I would have to upload them to a hosting service, but I don’t have an account with any and wouldn’t want to create one. If you can’t help me without that, it’s fine. I was hoping there might be some experience with the products or information on how long they should keep the facade “clean.” The algae growth on my grandmother’s house is only in some areas; another house on the street, which I don’t have a photo of, is severely affected. What surprises us is that nothing happened for 10 years, and this only started after the repaint.

No, when creating a post, you can also add attachments, including images, by using the "upload file" option.
