ᐅ New Exterior Paint Covered with Green Algae After Only One Year?!

Good morning dear forum members,
I wish you all a Happy New Year, lots of success, and good health.

I have a quick question. My grandma has a white plaster facade that got dirty after 10 years, so about 3 years ago she decided to have it repainted by a professional company.

This company "supposedly" disinfected it with Caparol Capatox, then primed it with Caparol Thermosan Primer, and finally applied two coats of Caparol Thermosan facade paint.

However, in the first year, several areas of the facade turned very green, and after 3 years it looks really bad. This company also worked on other houses on the same street, which are also heavily green. Other houses that have not been repainted recently appear more "gray" than the others but are not green.

Is this a "mistake" in the process? It’s understandable that the facade will eventually turn gray again and algae will accumulate over time, but already in the first year? The house is located at the Baltic Sea, about 1.5 meters (0.9 miles) from the beach.

I look forward to your answers.

Best regards,
Fireli

OMG, and they develop software? With any cheap sync software, the phone photos are transferred directly to the PC (e.g., Dropbox).

If you want free help, you should also contribute something in return. In this case, photos are clearly necessary for a proper assessment.

Otherwise, short answer: yes; perhaps the proximity to the sea was overlooked.

That is very rude. Please moderate your tone.

It is also possible to use Tapatalk and similar apps directly from your mobile phone without any detours.
