ᐅ Water outlet like spring water – any experiences?

Hello fellow home builders,

We are currently considering installing our bathroom sink faucets to produce a spring water–like flow instead of the usual fine aerated stream. Has anyone installed such a system (with a spring water–style flow) and can share their experience regarding whether it causes any disadvantages or becomes inconvenient in everyday use (e.g., brushing teeth, washing hands), such as excessive splashing? I would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Hello, I have a water outlet with LED lighting like this one... had to have it. I had it installed by a professional who also assembled my "crescendo" washbasin. He didn’t fully turn up the water pressure, just enough so that the water stream never extends beyond the basin, but the lighting still works. The lighting is powered by the water flow. So far, I’m very happy with it. However, we have very soft water. I’m not sure how limescale would affect it with harder water.

Also, I haven’t really considered whether more water is used without the addition of air. This might be interesting for some of you?

I only used it once in a hotel, and I really liked it there as well. There was no splashing at all. It was comfortable to operate. I just decided against it because of the price 🙂

I have often seen such valves in commercial settings, and the discharge was always very green where the coating had come off.

I just noticed it, but have no idea how old the fittings were in each case.

Do you remember which hotel it was? Was it really the same model or just a similar one?

It was exactly that model. The hotel is in Bonn-Beuel.
