Hello,
We want to install a kitchen with an island in our new house. What is the best way to route the electrical supply to the kitchen island? The problem is that the connection point is located on the opposite wall in the room. Additionally, the floor structure including underfloor heating is already installed, but the screed over the underfloor heating is still missing.
How can I get electricity to my kitchen island?
I also have a general question. Is it generally possible to lay cables along the wall within the screed? I would like to install a home network and need to run some CAT7 cables for that.
Best regards

Is the pipe installed in the heated screed or beneath it in the insulation? The screed was cut open.

What type of cable should I use, and what else do I need? I would put the cable inside a conduit. Hello,
cooktops generally require three-phase power. If you’re unsure about the cable type, it’s best to have a certified electrician handle it.
Also, consider if you want standard outlets on your kitchen island. In that case, you should have those installed at the same time.
If you decide to do it yourself, remember to protect the outlets properly, switch off the relevant circuit breakers before starting work, and double-check that there is no voltage on the line!

The screed was cut open Yes, I understood that. Was the screed completely cut through down to the insulation below? Or was it just a groove cut into the top of the screed?
I’m not an electrician and have a lot of respect for anything related to electricity, but I have heard that the cable needs to be matched to the ambient temperature and the maximum possible supply temperature of the underfloor heating system. Is that correct?
As someone who is clearly cautious about electricity, I would definitely leave something this delicate to an electrician.
