There is a strong odor coming from my kitchen sink and the trap.
I have already tried leaving vinegar and salt to sit overnight, which eliminated the smell for two days.
I also completely disassembled and cleaned the trap.
This did not help either.
What could be causing this?
What can I do to fix it?

Please also clean the connections between the strainers, the lower parts of the strainers,
and the overflow as well.
The trap shown by Siggi is identical to the one installed, and everything beyond the trap is usually irrelevant.
OlliI cleaned the entire white part, so all the white pipes,
as well as the gray part as far as possible, including the strainers.
