Hi,

in our new apartment (currently being built by a developer), there is a wall opening between the hallway and the staircase. This means that when you stand in the hallway, you can see the staircase (leading to the upper floor) in profile.

The wall opening is approximately 2 meters (6.5 feet) long and 1.5 meters (5 feet) high.

Since we don’t like the open view entirely, we are considering having a glass panel installed here. I think clear glass might be impractical because the staircase side is reachable, so we would have to clean the glass constantly. Therefore, the idea is to use frosted glass instead.

Could someone give me an idea of the expected cost including installation? I just want a rough figure so I can evaluate the quotes from glaziers here in Munich. Based on online research, I would expect it to cost around €1,500 as safety glass including installation.
