Hello everyone,
I am currently building a house, and my windows have just been installed.
I have large triangular windows in my attic.
The width of the window at the bottom is just under 5 meters (16 feet) and the height is 1.40 meters (4.6 feet).
I have noticed the following issue:
After the windows were installed, wooden wedges were placed underneath to initially support the weight of the windows.
The windows were fixed with two brackets on each sloped side.
The cavities between the interior masonry were filled with PU foam.
Because a bearing layer (also called a roll layer) had to be built, the bricklayers removed the wedges. As a result, the window sagged on one side due to its own weight. I informed the window installer, who adjusted the window again before the bearing layer was laid.
The windows were removed to reduce the load on the bearing layer. The bricklayers then removed the wedges again and built the bearing layer. However, the window has sagged again.
What should be done in this situation?
The window is now slightly tilted, and the foam no longer properly fills the cavities. It should also be considered that the window will eventually need to be opened, which will significantly increase the load.
Here are the photos I took today:

How should I proceed, and how serious is this problem?
