Good evening,
we are currently buying an end-unit townhouse from a developer, which is completed up to the shell stage. All the windows are already installed. Unfortunately, the window element to the terrace is also already installed and finished. It consists of two fixed panels on the sides and two casement doors in the middle. The dimensions are 3.20 meters wide and 2.10 meters high (height not 100% certain, I need to check). "Unfortunately" because we have a similarly sized sliding door element in our current apartment and want the same in the new house. So, a new one will be ordered, and the already installed element will be removed. Since neither the developer nor the window manufacturer wants to compensate us for this, I would like to try to resell it myself. Every dollar earned this way is better than the developer’s kind but free disposal.
Is there a market for something like this?
I would appreciate your assessment!
Regards, Wim

Windows nowadays are almost all custom-made to size. Therefore, I would say that ordering a window incorrectly makes it essentially worthless.

Silly question, but why doesn’t anyone think of this beforehand? Aren’t there any prior discussions? Normally, people are quite open to selling some extras...

The windows are custom-made, so your part is basically useless. You might be able to use it later to build a conservatory or something similar.

Maybe you’ll be able to sell the glass.
