Hello everyone,
I have a detached double garage with a flat roof (concrete slab with 2cm (1 inch) PUR insulation and plastic waterproofing). The walls are made of 24cm (9.5 inches) Poroton bricks / hollow clay blocks (with a bulk density of 0.8 or 0.9).
What base plaster would you recommend for the exterior and interior? The suppliers suggested KNAUF LUP 222 (lightweight lime-cement plaster). What are your thoughts on this? Would you rather avoid using the lightweight aggregate?

You know the interiors of all the garages in your building neighborhood??? – I find that interesting, but also a bit puzzling ;-) If you have good relationships with your neighbors and their neighbors in your community, talk to each other, or observe the surroundings during the construction phase, it’s no longer a secret. Unless you live alone in your own isolated spot, then it’s a different story (Please don’t take this the wrong way, I’m not referring to anyone in particular).
Now, what if KNX or smart home enthusiasts start thinking about a garage? They’d have to be out of this world or declared “aliens” 😉
But, to not drag this on unnecessarily – the message has been received loud and clear.

From what I’ve seen in the surrounding garages, almost every one has plastered walls and tiled floors. Electrical wiring is usually surface-mounted but there is plenty of equipment available.
Inside, I would use lime plaster and apply it using the simplest method. I would not paint it. We only had lime-cement plaster applied, which is certainly a cost factor, but in my opinion was necessary for the interior exposed Poroton masonry. With calcium silicate blocks, aerated concrete (Ytong), or timber framing, this is, in my opinion, not necessary!
