Hello everyone, I am currently planning to expand my wardrobe using the Ikea PAX system and am looking for specific doors that are both space-saving and elegant. My main question is: Which PAX doors are especially recommended when room space is limited but I still want a modern, aesthetic design? It is also important to me that the doors are durable and can be well integrated into different room layouts. Perhaps you have experience with various door types such as sliding doors, folding doors, or classic hinged doors and can provide practical recommendations based on your experience. I would really appreciate a detailed discussion including advantages, disadvantages, as well as tips on installation and handling.

If you really have minimal space, sliding doors are generally the best option. That matches my impression.
It's also reassuring to hear that replacement parts for sliding doors are not a big issue, as I was initially worried that repairs might be complicated.
Regarding the appearance, I find that especially the white or even the quite simple Pax doors with clean lines look very modern and elegant. In my opinion, this can be well combined with Scandinavian or minimalist design without making the room look cluttered or outdated.
If anyone has experience with doors made of glass or with mirror panels—how easy are they to maintain in daily use? Do they get dirty quickly, or do they rather help to make the room appear larger visually?
