Hello to all DIY enthusiasts and hobbyists!

I want to set up a small workshop for tinkering in a garage. The garage has not been purchased or ordered yet and will still need to be built...

Therefore, I’m looking for some tips in advance so I don’t buy/order/build the wrong one...

Here are the basic conditions:
1. The garage will be located about 150m (490 feet) from the house in a garage complex (row garage).
2. It should be usable almost all year round (of course not during extreme cold like the past few days... 😉)
3. Exact dimensions still need to be determined, but I expect a “standard size”...
4. Electrical connection should be possible. If not: power generator…
5. Windows at the back? ... Yes!

My first thoughts:
Construction type: steel? prefabricated garage? masonry? … What is best?
Is it even possible to hang shelves on steel walls?
Does the floor need any special features? (cold from underneath...?)

Who can give me some useful advice...?

Best regards,

Even though no tips have been given so far, here are a few additional details:
Dimensions L: 6.00 m (19.7 ft), W: 3.00 m (9.8 ft), H: max 3.00 m (9.8 ft)
An electrical connection will be available.
Steel sheet for the exterior walls is probably not an option....

So, who can help me further...?

Regards,
