Hello dear forum community,
We are also about to make our dream of a lifetime come true.
The plot of land is already secured, and now we are looking for someone who can bring our ideas to life. Since we would like the walls of our townhouse to be made of POROTON, we keep noticing that in the northern regions, construction is often done with aerated concrete blocks (e.g., Ytong).
Now we are looking for builders who work with POROTON and are still located in the north – which is why I am reaching out to this forum, as it is very difficult to find out how companies actually build.
IN SHORT: Who builds with POROTON in the north and can provide us with a contact?
Thank you very much in advance,
Chrischan

What
Do you find so great about Poroton?Who do you mean? The original poster hasn’t been here for over four years. And @Franzbrot already understood my stone mantra, but his co-building parents apparently asked a so-called expert who considers aerated concrete to be a perishable building material. Just saying, chemtrails 🙂https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Ouch, what happened to me here? – no, I have several addresses with this email provider, but 11ant is with gmx (de)!
Are the parents newcomers? – I understand that instead of a semi-detached house, now a traditional two-family house is planned.
Oh, you should explain that in more detail, happy to hear more personally – sorry again for my mistake with the address!
What do you mean by that: do you have any special requirements for ceiling heights or roof shape? No worries 🙂 I haven’t found time yet to look into it more closely 🙂
Exactly, a traditional two-family house is now planned. Building two separate houses on the plot would be complicated anyway, and it would also block the nice view of the nature reserve.
We have this obligation to attach to the neighbor’s house and must keep a certain form at the front (§34). Just regarding the extension, our preferred builder—the one who built the neighbor’s house—dropped out because he apparently didn’t like it so much and never wants to do it again 😀
Ceiling height should ideally be 2.70 meters (8 ft 10 in), roof shape: at the front I think we have to go with a gable roof, but at the back we can do a flat roof/city villa style.

Do you find so great about Poroton?Well, in case you mean me: What I like about Poroton mainly is that there are no arguments with the parents about it 😀
