Hello dear forum community,

We are also about to make our dream of a lifetime come true.
The plot of land is already secured, and now we are looking for someone who can bring our ideas to life. Since we would like the walls of our townhouse to be made of POROTON, we keep noticing that in the northern regions, construction is often done with aerated concrete blocks (e.g., Ytong).
Now we are looking for builders who work with POROTON and are still located in the north – which is why I am reaching out to this forum, as it is very difficult to find out how companies actually build.
IN SHORT: Who builds with POROTON in the north and can provide us with a contact?
Thank you very much in advance,
Chrischan

money money money

At first, I thought it would be for 1-2 years, but by now the birth certificates of the kids show municipalities from North Rhine-Westphalia ... but home is where the heart is, and that won’t change. We regularly visit the north, and over Easter we were in West Jutland, as is proper.

...Thanks first of all for your responses. I simply believe that building with brick is the better choice if you want to use a natural material. Ytong absorbs a lot of water and takes in moisture, but it releases it poorly or only with difficulty... therefore, POROTON seems to me to be the better option.

I have also found out that WBI builds houses with bricks! BUT at the same time, they only build with a slab-on-grade foundation with thermal insulation—does anyone know about this?

Alex, what did they lure you away with? Love? Or money? Remember, when the longing comes, there is always a way back to Kiel. Karsten

And guess where this path leads to

Via Raisdorf or past Flintbek or via Kronshagen. Coming from the lake is also possible, but difficult by car.
