Is there an expert here who can tell me the name of this kitchen cabinet front? The fronts are cream white with beveled edges (like faceted). This is best seen on the drawers in the photos. It would be great if someone could help me!

Hi,

hmm, the kitchen seems to be somewhat outdated. The fact that the countertop is only 60cm (24 inches) deep is something that hasn’t been common for quite some time. Can you roughly say when the kitchen was purchased? An approximate year plus or minus 2 would be enough for me to look into it.

Hello!

I was told it is about eight years old. But is that really true? The user manuals for the devices were apparently printed in 1998.

Thank you for the quick response!

However, I still have some doubts because I couldn’t find any pictures of PALÄ anywhere. It is described as high-gloss, convex, curved. Ours is only slightly glossy and has a beveled edge of 1-2cm (0.4-0.8 inches), like a facet, and is otherwise flat.

Could PALÄ possibly look more like the following?

If so, it remains unclear what our kitchen model is called. Maybe it’s a predecessor model to PALÄ?

(By the way – I’m also uncertain about the TAG handles... I’m probably less of an Ikea expert than most here, but I believe I equipped a kitchen with TAG handles as early as 1993. Is my memory playing tricks on me?)

Maybe Nayla will find out and be able to say for sure which front it is.
In 1993, you probably had ADVERB handles, the predecessors of TAG. They were consistently the same thickness and did not get thicker at the ends like TAG.

Take a look inside the hinge holes. There might still be a sticker indicating the name of the cabinet front. I know this front style, but I’m not sure what it’s called...
I only know the handle under the name "VÄRDE." However, those have only been around for a few years, so it’s probably not that one...
