The plumber installed some pipes concealed in the wall and chiseled grooves into the aerated concrete blocks. What is the best way to close these openings? Can I use standard plaster with mesh for this? Is there a special mortar for such repairs? I have the same situation in the bathroom, and I’m concerned about possible cracking later on.

Laid water pipes behind a wall opening: red (hot), blue (cold) with clamps.

Rotband is always an option.

But then in two coats, otherwise it will bulge out?
Is there no cracking at all?

For me, it’s fine even with 10 speeds. This always depends on the situation and must be decided on site whether an additional finish is needed or if it’s sufficient as is.
