I am especially interested in the different hanging systems, methods for securing them to the wall, and any additional solutions that ensure a safe and sturdy installation. Are there special mounting kits or recommended tips that should definitely be considered? I want to avoid the cabinets becoming unstable or causing problems after installation, so I would appreciate your experiences and detailed advice.

The IKEA Metod wall cabinets are mainly mounted using a discreet hanging rail attached to the back of the cabinet. This rail is anchored to the wall with special screws. Alternatively, angle brackets are available, which provide additional stability. The wall must be stable—preferably concrete or a load-bearing wooden wall. Secure mounting is not possible without suitable wall plugs and screws.

It is important to align the cabinet back panel precisely and to install the rail horizontally. IKEA also offers installation kits that include all necessary anchors, screws, and cover caps. For example, I plan to install both relatively small and narrow cabinets as well as at least one wide 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet. Should different systems or additional reinforcements be used for that?
