Hello everyone,
Does anyone know about the weather resistance of the above-mentioned outdoor access point?
I couldn’t find any information about the protection rating, and I would like to install it on a part of the facade where it would be fully exposed to the weather.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
It specifically concerns the "Mesh" model, not the "Mesh Pro," which is too large and is said to lose performance very quickly sideways.
Good luck
Tarnari

Simply insert it straight in. I sealed it with PU foam on my side. It's clear to me what to do inside the access point. But what should be done beforehand? A flush-mounted box where the installation cable ends, install a keystone module there, and then connect from that to the access point using a patch cable?
@Tarnari Yes, the Flex HD can be completely exposed to rain. It is fully suitable for outdoor use. All mine are installed on the facade without weather protection. 3 x Flex HD, 1 x mesh pro
@hanse987 We have a ventilated facade system. This allows us to do a lot... the simplest (and in my opinion, also the best) solution are keystone modules. We don’t need a junction box since everything is routed behind the facade.
This is what it looks like for me. You can recognize the PU on the mount.

I’m bringing this up again because I now know how I want to attach the unit to the facade. It’s clear that the FlexHD can handle rain. But what about direct sunlight? Does anyone have experience they could share? It would be installed on a south-facing facade, with outdoor temperatures potentially exceeding 40°C (104°F) and strong sun exposure. I’ve used it indoors for a while now, and it gets quite warm.
