House Design

Why was the design made this way? For example:
A mix of many examples from various magazines.
Input from friends and family.

We are 2 people plus 1 dog, with 2 children planned.
We would like to do without a basement – is storage space sufficient?

The driveway is on the south side, and we would also plan the terrace in front of the house on the south side.

We would appreciate your opinions and tips for improvement!

At first quick glance, I believe there is still quite a bit of potential for savings here without it negatively affecting you.

The pantry could easily be designed as kitchen cabinets. If integrated there, additional options open up for the entrance area... Definitely about 1 meter (3 feet) of width can be saved if the shower and other elements are also adjusted a bit.
Having an exit from the kitchen onto the terrace is really great. At least we think so.

500k will never be enough for 211 sqm (2270 sq ft). It might be sufficient for the standard 160 sqm (1720 sq ft). Unfortunately, the design is probably based on that.

211 × 2500 €/sqm = ?
And the excavator hasn't even arrived yet, so no additional construction costs, no attic, no landscaping…

The staircase will be partially built over, right? Does that work like this?

We also want to make everything smaller and plan to contribute a lot of our own labor.
