Hello,

we are currently choosing tiles for the bathroom.
We have seen floor tiles measuring 80x80 cm (32x32 inches).
However, I find it hard to imagine how this would look in a room of 13 m² (140 ft²).

Does anyone have tiles of this size in their bathroom, and how do you like them?

Thanks and regards

If there is a different floor, maybe parquet, etc., then I can also well imagine the floor being made of tiles.

I like your suggestion; I like tiles, preferably without grout lines. However, I did not quite understand your answer: Do you mean a single (1) tile as large as the entire room, or how should I interpret your suggestion?

Yes, exactly. Unfortunately, the 120x240cm (47x94 inches) size will not fit in terms of width, so you will need to choose a 160x320cm (63x126 inches) option. From my perspective, it largely depends on the size of the flooring in the hallway beforehand and whether it will look good together.

For example, the hallway is tiled with 120 x 240 cm (47 x 95 inches) tiles.

Weißer Flur mit Holztüren und dunklem Boden; LEDs an der Wand, am Ende ein Holzregal.

wow....not bad....

but then I wonder how you handle installing such a tile? I mean, a smaller size can be installed by one person... just from a practical point of view...

What I only noticed at second glance:
Your recessed vertical wall lights (LED?) are really great!!! I have something similar, a bit narrower, but also installed vertically by the staircase...

You’re right. You can’t handle the panels alone.
Especially when you’re doing an entire room, you basically don’t have any space to stand. But with some creativity, everything is possible. I also made my shower floor (T-niche) from one single piece.

PS: This is not my hallway.

Question for fans of single-piece tiles: what are the advantages of choosing a flooring made from a single large ceramic slab (considering that there are options to color-match grout lines or alternatively create a similar floor on site)? Why opt for a continuous slab and throughout?

After all, drawbacks include the awkwardness and increased risk of damage during installation, as well as the significantly greater effort required for repairs (for example, damage caused by a dropped nail polish bottle). Spot repairs are probably not feasible.
