Our new build is finished. We had tiles installed on the ground floor and in the bathrooms. After that, the remaining work was carried out (installation of bathroom furniture, wallpaper, etc.).
Now we have the problem that the light gray/dark gray grout is patchy in many areas. These spots are always lighter than the actual grout color. The tiler said this is due to dust from the other work that settled in the grout.
The question is: Has anyone experienced similar problems and/or does anyone have advice on how to make the grout look uniform again?
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Rene

Is it actually dust? Try wiping it off with a damp cloth.
If the discoloration remains, it is likely due to the grout or its application (which I consider more probable).
In that case, I would report a defect and request a repair.
Before scheduling an appointment with the tiler, I would involve a technical representative from the grout manufacturer. They can definitely provide more information.
Best regards
