Hello everyone,

We need your advice and support regarding the grout on the ground floor of our house.

On our ground floor, tiles from the company Caesar, Easy Root Nacciola were installed.

The grout used was a flexible grout in anthracite. Overall, the floor looks really great.

However, in some areas, the flexible grout is not anthracite but rather a light gray. The tiler told us back then that this was cement residue (or dirt or dust from the house construction) and that it would fade over time. We were advised to clean the tiles thoroughly with a cement residue remover, which should solve the problem.

Unfortunately, a few spots are still gray.

So I wanted to ask if you have had similar experiences and how you managed to remove the residue from the grout. Maybe with a special grout cleaner or a steam cleaner?

I had also briefly considered using grout colorant to make everything uniform, but I’m afraid it might go wrong or not look good.

I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas with you and to any tips or advice. I can send photos if needed.

Best regards,
Micha

A photo would be really helpful. How many areas and how many square meters (square feet) are brighter?

Hi, I have uploaded two pictures for comparison. The joint, or the joint material, is definitely identical.

Merry Christmas!

You can’t compare anything from the photos. Even the tile appears in a different color.

Sorry, but the joints are clearly different in your color.

Would you perhaps like to take a photo showing both joint colors? That way, it could really just be due to the lighting...
