Hello everyone,

We are having a garden party this weekend, and late in the evening we will probably place my patio fireplace on the lawn again to create some warmth. Unfortunately, my grass suffered a lot last time. Even though this fire pit is slightly elevated, it draws moisture from the grass and the lawn dies.

Do you have any tips on what I could put under the fireplace beforehand to protect my lawn?

Exactly, 4 paving slabs at €2.50 each from the home improvement store.

We have a fire basket and use a steel plate with legs as a "foundation," which can be easily rolled.
You can also find these at hardware stores, although they are somewhat more expensive than paving slabs.
