Hello everyone,
we will be building deep inland and still need to cover about 25m (80 feet) through the garden to reach the construction site. I want to properly pave these 25m only after the construction work is finished because I’m afraid the heavy construction machinery will damage the new paving.

How can I reinforce the garden cost-effectively so that the excavator and truck (I am building a timber frame without a basement – so only excavation for the slab) don’t sink into the ground, without spending a fortune?

Regards,
Bodo

Hello Bodo,
I would suggest using gravel fill material. Firstly, it compacts very well, and secondly, it is very durable.
Best regards 😉

1-2 dump trucks loaded with gravel and compacting it – works without any problems.
We did it that way as well.

It can also be recycled gravel. For the top layer, it’s better to use natural gravel.
