Reini123431 Oct 2019 10:32Hello everyone,
I would like to explain my situation and hope for some advice.
We have built a timber frame house and are currently working on the interior finishing. The main living floor is planned to be plastered. We tested a lime putty decorative plaster in two small rooms. It has a rather yellowish tint and would need to be painted. In the basement, a red lime felt plaster, which is a lime-cement plaster, will be applied. This dries to a white color and might not require painting; we have already seen this at some neighbors.
All ceilings have been wallpapered and already painted with a well-known silicate paint.
We are now torn about how to proceed with the rest of the floor. Should we have the lime-cement plaster applied and paint it with the silicate paint if needed? Or would it be better to use the lime putty plaster and then paint with lime paint? Does it really make that much difference for indoor air quality?
