Hello, we are currently trying to decide whether to use lime-cement plaster or gypsum plaster in the living areas.

Gypsum plaster is cheaper and results in a smoother wall. However, we are leaning slightly towards lime-cement plaster because it is said to be more impact-resistant and to improve the indoor climate.

Everyone recommends something different :-(

Are there any people here who have lime-cement plaster in their living areas and can share their experiences?

You definitely shouldn’t use cement plaster in living areas. Don’t do it. It is hard, rough, and coarse.

Use lime gypsum plaster in living areas.

Yes, why use moisture-resistant plaster in the living room? Unless you always clean with a pressure washer, then sure. Otherwise, gypsum-lime plaster, like Knauf’s smooth wall finish.

It’s all about the air.
You should be able to breathe more freely.
Next week, I’m going to check out a living room with lime cement plaster.
It apparently allows for easier breathing.
A lot of people are doing this in new builds, especially in living spaces. Hmm

Stop smoking. It’s easier to breathe that way.

More likely “pure” lime plaster..

Lime-cement plaster only in wet rooms (like garages, bathrooms, etc.)

At least around here, almost every second person does it this way.
