Hello,
I have modeled our house according to the current construction drawings and am already roughly planning the outdoor area. Now I’m facing the following detail:
I have installed a splash protection strip around the house (about 30cm (12 inches) gravel bed around the base). The garage will be built later using traditional masonry and will be attached directly to the house. My question is: what is better in this situation? To keep the splash protection strip on this side of the house (north) or to pave the driveway up to the house wall?
I have attached a picture where I modeled the strip.
The paving should be permeable. The roof has an overhang of 60cm (24 inches) all around.
For example, the neighbors opposite have paved the driveway and path to the front door directly along the house facade.
