Our house is scheduled to be plastered in the next few days. My plasterer uses ready-mixed plaster, and the desired color will simply be mixed in. According to him, the facade then no longer needs to be painted, but I find that hard to believe. What do you think, does the facade still need to be painted afterward? I also assume that the color further seals the plaster, or am I mistaken?

This is not necessary for silicone resin plaster.
However, I would still recommend choosing the colored variant for mineral plaster. If you only paint over it, it becomes noticeable right away if a texture grain falls off.

Only after I presented them with the datasheets of their respective products did they reluctantly agree to include it in the additional agreement, but they still thought it was complete nonsense.
It may seem unnecessary, but a final coat with a silicone-based paint has the advantage that the surfaces stay clean much longer and are more resistant to algae. Therefore, I am in favor of applying a topcoat. I would not expect color differences with integrally colored render. We ordered our prefabricated garage plastered with the same color as the house. At first, the result was a perfect match. After a few months, the garage became increasingly gray, while the house, which was painted, remained white. Now I have applied a coat of silicone facade paint to the garage and hope this will stop the discoloration. Karsten
