Hello everyone,
In our new apartment, there is a network socket in every room, and I would like to set up a Wi-Fi network using them. The connection should still be through Unitymedia, so via the cable connection. Currently, all the network cables come together in the distribution cabinet.
Now the question is, what do I need to connect my Unitymedia modem and distribute the signal accordingly? I am attaching a photo of the cabinet.
Good luck and thanks for the help.

There is also a thread in this or another forum that covers how to terminate the modules yourself. Each module comes with a folded instruction sheet, although having two left hands can be a problem for this kind of work. On the other hand, an in-wall box with LSA or Keystone modules, ready to go, is enough. The router serves as the switch since there are only four network cables – right?

So far so good, but how do I tap the signal from the cable connection?Connect a network cable from the router’s output port to the patch panel or the switch.K

I understand everything so far—patch panel and switch, all clear. But so far, my signal always comes from the antenna socket. As mentioned, this is Unitymedia. That means my modem is connected to the TV outlet. Where do I get the signal from here?N

Where do I get the signal here? From the appropriate devices installed by Unitymedia. You can't do that yourself because, according to the picture, some hardware is still missing, which is provided by them. Then a cable goes from that to the router, and that's it.Similar topics
