Hello everyone.

According to the builder, our floor-to-ceiling windows have been properly sealed from the INSIDE.

The exterior sealing is supposedly our responsibility...

How would you go about doing this?

There will be a fully covered terrace in front of all the windows... but I still think everything should be sealed correctly.

Or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Open front door during construction with foundation and insulation at the building corner.

I contacted several roofers.

They all suggested sealing the entire area with EPDM membrane....
For 4 floor-to-ceiling windows, each 1m (3.3 ft) wide, the estimates ranged from 400€ to 900€...

If anyone has a detailed guide for this, please share!
I would prefer not to remove the brickwork... Maybe it’s possible to do it that way somehow?!

Thanks for the information!!

Just to be sure, ask if that was the total price?

Have it done for a great price! EPDM is fine. Just make sure the work is done properly.

Yes, that was the total price. I think we will have it done by professionals...

Definitely not. It will tear, and then you might as well forget it.

Why?
Usually, the entire base including the slab is sealed with this.

I don’t see a problem with that either.
But safety is always a good reason to spend a bit more money; the gutter under the canopy is no different.
