Hello everyone.

According to the builder, our floor-to-ceiling windows have been properly sealed from the INSIDE.

The exterior sealing is supposedly our responsibility...

How would you go about doing this?

There will be a fully covered terrace in front of all the windows... but I still think everything should be sealed correctly.

Or am I worrying unnecessarily?

We had the area around the floor-to-ceiling windows sealed on the outside with liquid waterproofing (applied by the roofer). The window reveals up to about 20cm (8 inches) in height, unfortunately I don’t have a photo. Two coats were necessary. Below this is the basement made of waterproof concrete.

Our terrace is also intended to connect directly and without barriers to the house and the terrace door. Yesterday, I had a first discussion about this. The landscaper suggested that a drainage channel would be useful and that even with a waterproof concrete basement, at least a dimple membrane should still be installed here. I’ll find out more in the coming days.

Dimpled membrane is not a waterproofing layer. It only serves as protection for the waterproofing.

Yes, it was 36 degrees Celsius (97°F) and I was thirsty.
Thick coating + dimpled membrane, he said.
Below/next to our terrace is the basement or it is connected to it. The basement is made of waterproof concrete. Therefore, I am not sure if the mentioned solution can be applied in general.
Especially such transitions are very sensitive.
