ᐅ Roller shutter boxes all too small

My window installer ordered the wrong roller shutter boxes and has already installed them. I know I don’t have to accept this, but I’m worried that if he removes the windows, the wall edge strips won’t survive the removal. The boxes are not the correct depth and don’t align flush with the interior wall. The installer now wants to fill the gaps with polystyrene foam. Since the boxes already have an integrated plaster bead, it is now obviously too short.

Is there a way to extend the plaster bead so that the plasterer can work with it? Or are there other solutions to achieve a clean finish?

Since the sealing tape on the roller shutter is obviously missing here, I would have the entire unit removed. I don’t see any reason to object to using a Styrofoam panel.

Which sealing tape?

At the side where the foam is oozing out.

That could still be masked off. Most likely, all the windows will need to be removed anyway, since the window installer did not attach the mullion to the lintel on any of the double windows. I’m just concerned that he might damage the insulation strips. Also, there are nearly 40 windows.

I recommend: Window installation according to the latest technical standards - Würth
