Hello,

I bought a house that comes with two prefabricated garages. One of them has a standard garage door, while the other only has a regular entrance door and was used as a storage room since there is no basement. The one without a garage door will become my workshop, but I want to install a window where the garage door would normally be. What about the structural integrity of these prefabricated garages? Am I allowed to simply cut a hole for a window (about 90cm x 90cm (35 inches x 35 inches)) and install it there?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards

We have a cantilever garage, and retrofitting a window is not possible.

Alternative: install a door with a glazed panel.
