Hello everyone,
Of course, you can find many ideas for retaining walls on Pinterest, but most of them are not from an average everyday garden. Do you have retaining walls on your property, and if so, what do they look like?

I believe achieving an even distribution is not difficult because the concrete is mixed in a concrete mixer, which automatically disperses the pigments.
There are also methods to create intentionally varied coloring.
When adding color, you need to use pigments that are compatible with cement. As far as I understand, only “soft” colors are possible because concrete cannot tolerate too many pigments... but you should definitely consult someone with expertise on this. I have only heard about it and find it interesting.
I have also seen concrete where the surface was later mechanically roughened. This is another option that, in my opinion, can make it look “good.”

We still have an old concrete wall – unfortunately, not all the inherited walls are made of sandstone. As children, we were never allowed to throw snowballs at the wall because the plaster would fall off. And that’s exactly what happened. The wall was last plastered in the mid-1980s. The plasterer said it used to be like that. We only had it plastered in 2019, so I can’t really tell if that’s true.
