Hello,
I would like to control the dining room light from two locations.
Currently, there is only a single switch, which I want to add a second control point to. (I am currently doing renovation work.)
There is a suitable dimmer module that has a two-way switch, so I can dim the light from both locations. The switch system is Busch-Jaeger Futur Linear.
The link below explains it in detail. How many wires would I need to run from the existing switch to the new switch?

Secondary control operation.
With Busch dimmers, up to five rotary control units can be installed to control a particular light. This works perfectly with the convenient rotary dimmer secondary control — of course, also with existing intermediate and two-way switch circuits. And the best part is: the operation of the dimmer and secondary control is exactly the same. The convenient memory function is also identical on every secondary control.
