My wall-hung toilet already has small cracks and needs to be replaced.
There is a wide selection available in hardware stores or online.
How do you differentiate between them?
Are the connections compatible?

What is your opinion on the wall-hung toilets from Villeroy & Boch "O.Novo" or "Architectura"?
Or are other manufacturers better?

Choose what you like and what fits your budget. The brand name doesn’t really matter. Expensive toilets from exclusive manufacturers are costly mainly because they sell fewer units.

Basically, not much. You use it as intended and then flush. The main difference is usually in the design, and at best whether they have a rim or rimless flushing system.

There are standard sizes. I don’t know exactly what you have installed or if it was standard.

If there is a power outlet nearby, choose Geberit Closomat.

The connections are largely standardized. However, you still need to be careful. If you choose a designer toilet or one with a square or unique shape, only the corresponding toilet seat will fit. If that seat eventually breaks, which happens quite often, you might have trouble finding a suitable replacement. And if you do find one, it can sometimes be at very high prices.

If you're unlucky, you might have to buy a new toilet bowl in a few years because the toilet seat is no longer available. So, I would always clarify this in advance.

It also depends on how old your current toilet bowl is. If it dates back to the 1970s or 1980s, I would check whether the dimensions still match. You first need to find out which concealed cistern (in-wall tank) system or manufacturer you have. Geberit, Grohe, Viega? Just look behind the flush plate. There you will usually find the manufacturer, model, year of manufacture, and so on.

The concealed cistern element is from Geberit, and the toilet is from SAVAL (a brand of Villeroy & Boch). Unfortunately, small cracks have appeared after 20 years of use.
The options considered are traditional toilets without bidet or heating features, priced up to around 350 EUR.
Below are the dimensions of the current wall-hung toilet.
Will it be compatible with all models from Villeroy & Boch, Duravit, or Geberit?

So about 1,000 models. In principle, any standard toilet should fit.
