I am interested in a house, but the bathroom is too small and quite unattractive. I would like to relocate the bathroom to the upper floor. However, there are no water pipes on the upper floor since it only has two bedrooms. The room is also not located above the current bathroom but on the opposite side of the house.
What additional costs should I expect if I have all the necessary plumbing and connections installed upstairs?
Also, this is a semi-detached house. Due to the sloping roof, at least the shower would have to be placed against the neighbor’s wall. Could this cause any issues?
Alternatively, does anyone have ideas on how to fit a bathtub and shower into the existing bathroom, which measures 3.5m x 1.4m (11.5 ft x 4.6 ft)? The only option I can think of is a corner bathtub with an integrated shower, but the bathroom layout puts the door and window on the short sides, meaning the window would end up inside the shower area.
Best regards

So, that would mean the window is actually in the shower.
RegardsIs that correct?
Anything is possible! When buying a house, other aspects should be more important, such as the building’s condition, which an expert can inspect and evaluate.
For smaller issues like bathroom renovation or relocation, a specialist can then take care of the details. The basic requirement is always a water and sewage plan! Without that, it’s difficult to proceed—even in a forum 🙂
