bigloopfan13 Jun 2010 16:02Hello everyone,
I will soon be moving into my first own apartment and have chosen a "wall unit" for the living room.
Unfortunately, the apartment has only drywall (plasterboard) walls, so I’m not sure if I can use this "wall unit." As I understand it, each panel must be attached individually to the wall, is that correct? Will this hold up on drywall walls?
Best regards

For us, the panel was always attached to the second-to-last stud with two screws each, as also stated in the instructions... as for the screws, I would ask at the hardware store... but I hung my kitchen wall cabinets on them since we also have drywall anchors there, and so far they hold.
Edit: My husband just said that our hollow wall anchors are made of metal...

thank you for the information. Does that mean I have to drill a total of 4 times for the two panel rows?

Maverick185419 Jun 2010 09:09It's best to ask at the hardware store which anchors are most suitable for your gypsum board walls and whether they can support the weight. We definitely don’t want the whole thing falling down during the night... right?
But actually, there’s nothing wrong with these metal anchors. Under normal conditions, they should hold.
