Hello,
regarding the renovation of construction defects in the house built in 1997 (penetrating moisture at the boundary wall), I am dealing with widespread moisture entering from the neighboring property, possibly related to a faulty horizontal damp-proof course. I have a quote from a specialist company that involves a series of drill holes and wall restoration using Remmers products. However, I generally do not trust the thoroughness of the "professionals," so I am considering doing it carefully myself.

In this regard, I have informed myself by downloading the relevant data sheets from Remmers and MEM online. The approach with both products is roughly the same, but there are some differences in the details. Material cost for Remmers = high, MEM = low. Remmers is mainly sold through specialist retailers, MEM is available in many hardware stores and also online. MEM is easy to obtain, especially for follow-up purchases. Remmers is a bit more difficult to acquire.

My current view is that it would be fine to use the cheaper MEM, since I believe the success largely depends on careful application. What do you think of my opinion?

Good luck
Peter
