Ffabhausbau1 Jul 2024 20:41Hello,
let me get straight to my problem. I hired a painter to completely renovate my old house, built in 1910. The job included removing old wallpaper, filling, applying new wallpaper, and painting. Now, the exterior wall of my terraced house is damp at the bottom. It shows dark discoloration and keeps reappearing. What could be causing the wall to be damp? The exterior wall does not seem to be damaged, except for a small crack. (See pictures). However, there is a kind of film visible on the exterior wall exactly where the wall is damp and dark from the inside. Do you have any idea what could be done? Could the moisture be rising from the basement? Because the basement walls are also damp. Or is it really caused by the small crack?
Thanks in advance for your help!
