We have the option to use telephone, internet, and TV services from a cable provider in our development area. Nevertheless, we are having a telecommunications connection installed in the house. In addition, we want to at least have an empty conduit installed from the attic to the utility room for the satellite system.

Our question: Should any other useful preparations be made to possibly allow for a later switch to satellite TV? Additional TV outlets in the rooms, etc.?

How is the media wiring arranged in the house now?

Since there has not been a discussion with the electrician yet, I cannot answer that at this time. According to the electrical plan, there are TV/radio sockets and network sockets in the individual rooms. Currently, the setup is designed for a Primacom broadband cable connection.

I would plan for as much as possible or move in yourself, but first wait for the conversation... then you can report back here and we will tell you what is missing, etc.

I would install sufficient network cabling in the rooms and then use Sat over IP if needed. Laying extra satellite cables just in case seems unnecessary to me.

Thank you. Network outlets are planned in large numbers. Regarding Sat over IP, I will do some research and consult the electrician.
