So, what precautions have you taken at your houses/construction sites for today and the coming days?

Work stoppage?
Or will the work continue as usual?

Although we have already finished building our house, we moved everything that is not anchored into the garage.
Hopefully, the bricks will stay in place with the clamps.

Strangely, the neighbors put up the entire scaffolding just last night because the workers will be roofing the house next week.. oops:
Not sure if that was a good idea.

He is moving to central Norway; we are done with him by ten o’clock. Sabine is not as angry as expected yet. They are also causing a bit of panic, probably nothing new in Erfurt, so Sabine is quite fitting.

Still quiet here. I’m the only one who hasn’t put out their trash bin yet.
It should be like this until tomorrow morning when the peak will be reached.
However, I live in the valley. At my parents’ place, up on the hill, it can be windier.

It’s already quite windy here, and schools across NRW will be closed tomorrow or only offer emergency care.

The peak is expected to occur after midnight, so we’ll see what else happens…

In the Oberberg district, schools will be closed tomorrow.
Two years ago, Friederike caused havoc in the Rhineland. Our older child’s school decided to cancel classes during the storm. The buses in Neuss had already stopped running, so my wife picked him up by car. That was quite ridiculous.

Since the Pentecost storm a few years ago in Düsseldorf, which resulted in several fatalities, and the storm warnings didn’t match the actual event, people have become more cautious.

You could play a storm version of Secret Santa — everyone places something outside their house and sees which neighbor ends up with it.

I wish everyone a safe and damage-free experience through the storm.
